About us

Welcome to the Cal Poly Pomona Tennis Club! We are a competitive and social club that invites all levels of players — whether you’ve been playing tournaments your whole life or you are just looking to try tennis. We have regular biweekly organized practices, in-club tournaments, and other events like clinics and an end-of-year banquet.

We have competitive team tryouts at the beginning of Fall Semester, where members can tryout for our competitive team. Our competitive team (A and B) travel to other schools in California to play at tournaments against other club teams through Tennis On Campus. We also compete at the TOC Sectionals and have made it to the TOC Nationals in Spring 2023, where we competed against the nation’s top club tennis teams!

  • The CPP Tennis Club takes sportsmanship very seriously. We do not tolerate immature behavior on or off the court. If you damage the court, throw a tantrum, yell at opponents, or do anything that could hurt the integrity of our club or our members, we will revoke your membership and ban you from club events.

    Our goal is to respect our opponents, club members, and this sport by playing fairly and having a good attitude on and off the courts.

Practices include facilitated games, drills, and gameplay (matches). See Discord for possible cancellations.

Members can use the Discord to arrange additional hitting outside of practice hours.

Competitive members see here for mandatory competitive team practices.

*Monday practices are just casual hitting; balls will be provided during practice hours
